The Williams County Courthouse Renovation hemmed the seams from the already busting courtrooms into a courts complex right sized to house the influx of cases and streamline the process through better use of space and flow of the overall building. The 14,000sf renovation provides 3 additional courtrooms including the independent municipal court and office spaces. The project was completed in phases to provide movement and flexibility while improving operations. The addition of 2 courtrooms, 2 conference rooms and chamber space made way for the municipal court to expand into a more central and accessible to the public location.
In phase II, offices and artillery spaces were renovated to better serve the users of the building and finally the exterior, including the Law Enforcement Center, were updated to create an overall campus feel alongside the Administration building. The new updates have increased the building’s utilization while improving wayfinding — both the public and employees’ experience an easier and more streamline process through the improvements to both security and access.
