DXA studio has been tasked with giving this landmarked building new life. The design involves a two-phase approach that tackles both the interior and exterior of the building. The exterior restoration will involve a thorough rejuvenation, as well as new roof, complete with a new copper-clad one-story gable formed penthouse--a a subtle nod to the large copper vats used in the brewing process.
The building as recently received approval to be rezoned for housing, allowing for four floors of residential units in the upper floors, and four floors of commercial spaces at the ground and cellar levels.
