The rectory of the parish of St. Michael is located directly on the cathedral square in Brixen. In order to accommodate the space programme for the reception and administrative structure of the South Tyrolean ambulance service, a part of the Widum, as well as the rooms in the neighbouring building (ex-library) were completely renovated and redesigned.
The space programme includes the parish office as well as the reception area and offices on the 1st and 3rd floors. The renovation work only concerns the interior, the façade renovation will be carried out at a later date.
The building of the parish of Brixen is under monument and ensemble protection and the work was carried out in close coordination with the Office for built heritage conservation.
