"White House" is the name given by the owner’s 4-year-old son to this house and is a nickname among his friends when they want to come over and play, like, "I want to go to the White House!" They say it all the time, especially on weekends.
The design concept for the White House is now oriented towards a timeless design. The goal is to create a home that is simple and doesn't translate to any particular style, making it looks simple and peaceful. The idea is to have a white house surrounded by lush greenery, providing a private and seamless connection between indoor and outdoor spaces.
The structure is made from a simple concrete structure, with details designed to make the concrete look light and sleek. Large glass doors facing the north, the side with the least direct sunlight, which can be opened to connect the interior space with outdoor garden and terrace. These openings help with continuous airflow and natural cooling, so there’s no need for air conditioning during daytime.
In the afternoon, due to the western sun, the house is designed to have a terrace and swimming pool underneath the building shade, allowing full use without the need for excessive shading canopy, enhancing the lightness and airiness of overall design. This shaded area becomes a gathering place for family members, pets, the son's friends, and the parents' guests.
The house doesn't need a bold or flashy style to make a statement, but instead, it's designed as a white canvas for the family members to express themselves through activities and lifestyle, making the house truly come to life.
