For the 1200-space Wellness Plaza parking garage, TimHaahs provided parking garage design, parking planning, and consulting services.
To help create a “people place” for the visitors and residents of this urban area, TimHaahs incorporated a vibrant mix of uses and enhanced the streetscape to provide a welcoming environment for pedestrians.
On the facility’s ground level is The Fresh Grocer grocery store, while the Robert Wood Johnson Fitness and Wellness Center is primarily found on the second floor. The project includes a significant corner tower element comprised of stairs and four elevators which provide access close to the adjacent New Brunswick Train Station northbound platform.
The precast parking garage utilizes a cast-in-place concrete helix ramp structure to achieve access to the upper parking levels which are situated above two levels of occupied space and a basement level pool facility for the fitness and wellness center.
