The client desired a simple, compact home high in the mountains that was site-appropriate, efficient, responsible, and view-centered. Highly durable and lasting materials were used throughout, and sustainable practices were sought at every possible turn. The plan is oriented to take full advantage of the views while design features allow natural light to fill the spaces.
The main entry is located far from the heart of the home, channeling guests though an art gallery hall before being welcomed into the main living area. Wood and stone exterior forms blend beautifully into the rugged mountains with a clean, modern architectural style.
