The new 40-acre State Light Industrial Park in Tumwater is shared by the State of Washington’s Departments of Natural Resources and Correctional Industries and was completed in 2006. The DNR facility replaces a previous facility in Lacey, while the DOC/Correctional Industries component of the project will provide offices and warehousing for CI distribution operations.
All project buildings are of steel construction with horizontal metal siding, standing seam metal roofing and share a common color palate for continuity within the campus. The project is LEED "Silver" certified and features natural, undisturbed islands within the site as well as wide perimeter buffers to screen neighbors and the public.
