Villa Romilia: A Seaside Escape Inspired by the Mediterranean Dune
Twin houses stand proudly on the seashore, but within one, a unique interior design unfolds, courtesy of the BOIDE team collaborating with MAGV Arquitectos. Drawing inspiration from the concept of a "Mediterranean Dune," the design uses warm colors, soft textures, and patterns to evoke the tranquility and beauty of the coast.
Embracing the Essence of the Dune:
The conceptualization revolves around the idea of a "Mediterranean Dune" – an accumulation of sand sculpted by the wind. Warm colors and soft textures form the base of the palette, creating a sense of serenity and connection to the natural world.
A Journey Through Light and Seafoam:
Upon entering, a narrow lobby welcomes you. The "Calcita Blue" floor and a blue ceiling light reminiscent of seafoam set the tone for the journey ahead. This corridor acts as a passageway, leading you from the social areas of the house towards the beckoning embrace of the sea.
Sea Shell Surprises:
The walls throughout the house are adorned with strategically placed sea shell inlays. These random placements create a delightful sense of discovery as you navigate from public to private spaces.
Social Spaces Designed for Connection:
The social areas boast custom-made tables, meticulously crafted with solid stone as the main material. Oak wood accents grace both furniture and ceilings, adding a touch of warmth and natural beauty. Step out onto the outdoor terrace, and you'll find a large, sculptural round table and a bar – perfect for gatherings and relaxation with loved ones.
A Room with a View:
Each bedroom embodies its own unique essence. The main bedroom features a captivating stone headboard, its design reminiscent of the beach dune and the rolling waves of the ocean. Here, every piece is meticulously chosen and crafted, reflecting the philosophy of the entire project – a unique escape from the city's hustle and bustle, transporting you to the tranquility of the coast and the gentle caress of its soft forms.
