Villa M - Phase 1

Florence, Italy

STATUS
Built
YEAR
2014
SIZE
5000 sqft - 10,000 sqft
BUDGET
$500K - 1M
The villa, introvert and dark, built in the 1920 by an English woman on the hills surrounding Firenze, has been completely refurbished opening it to the external garden and views and re-drawing the internal layout.
After the entrance hall, the central volume opens up, once mainly used as internal distribution, it has been transformed in a complex space, full of light, formed by three volumes one over the other and alternated.
The choices of new spaces, materials, details and furniture play consciously with pre-existing elements of the villa, creating a contemporary residential space.

The Second stage of the project is is due for completion in May 2015.
