The 17,300 SF Verizon Innovation Center (VIC) in downtown San Francisco was completed and opened to the public in October of 2013 and is the west coast counterpart to the successful Verizon Innovation Center the NELSON designed in Waltham, Massachusetts. The spaces within the VIC were designed to provide a flexible venue for Verizon to meet and collaborate with their industry partners, customers and innovators who are looking to leverage the capabilities of Verizon’s 4G LTE network as well as future technologies and services.
The project site on the 8th and 9th floors provides unparalleled views of the Embarcadero, the San Francisco/Oakland Bay Bridge and the Oakland Hills. The design includes a monumental stair, dynamic, color changing lights in the lobby area, touch screen displays, flexible demonstration and display space, radio frequency shielded labs, dining facilities, a full-service coffee bar and a 24 seat theater.
