The concept of the project establishes a urbanity protected by the positioning of the buildings and by a translucent ETFE volume, a strong architectural signal, that covers the forecourt. The urban issue is to create a lively area, of gathering and exchange open both on the RD113 and on the boulevard de l’Hôpital. The project is structured around an open-air forum, protected by canopy structures in plant shapes, in reference to former orchards that used to be found on these grounds. Two large landscaped patios bring a natural aspect to the parking lot and contribute to the forum’s ornament. This cloudy canopy embodies the identity of the place from the peripheral urban axes.
