This project, located in the Gramsci district of Cuneo, was developed with the goal of revitalizing a public green space through an integrated intervention that combines urban furniture and a cycle-pedestrian path.
At the heart of the design is a circular arrangement of red benches, placed in a wide semicircle around existing trees. This configuration invites rest, dialogue, and social interaction, transforming a simple grassy area into a place for gathering and community. The benches were conceived not as isolated objects, but as an integral part of a new cycle-pedestrian path that weaves through the park, connecting different areas of the neighborhood and improving everyday usability of the space.
The project carefully interacts with the existing context: the curved path naturally leads visitors toward the central area, while the red color of the benches creates a bold and recognizable landmark in the urban landscape, without being intrusive.
This is a small-scale neighborhood regeneration project that succeeds in blending functionality, aesthetics, and a sense of community, returning a vibrant and accessible space to both residents and visitors.
