The design of Novum East draws the surrounding verdant greens into the project, from the external columns and the sculpted green wall at the entrance, to the bonsai-themed décor inside the clubhouse. The interiors reinterpret rural and rustic charm with effortless flair. Taking cues from classic farmhouses, the residents’ clubhouse is conceptualized as an “Urban Barn”, with a collection of luxurious entertainment and amenity spaces. The “Urban Barn” is presented as a singular, continuous space, tied together by a sloped ceiling to give the space a lofty atmosphere. Individual areas are defined by low walls and sliding partitions, which maximize the opportunity for an open and flexible experience. Throughout the interiors, light timber and earth tones are matched with metallic accents to elevate the design narrative. Other details – brick patterns, handcrafted textures and organic shapes – are also combined to give a distinctive, modern touch. The studio has also crafted a collection of furniture for the project, including leather-upholstered seats, plush sofas for the lounge and sitting areas, as well as unique pieces that reinvent the spirit and essence of farmhouse living.
