Urban 15° is a 14-story, 44-unit residential building located in Zhubei’s High-Speed Rail District, directly facing the 3.24-hectare Shuizhen Forest Park.
In a market dominated by tall, dense developments and ornate facades, this project takes a quieter, more thoughtful path. Instead of maximizing floor area or adding decorative layers, we focused on one clear idea: letting residents truly “live inside the park.”
The defining feature is a system of 36 cantilevered 4×4 meter “boxes” that shift 15 degrees at each level. These simple yet effective moves create unique park views for every home, generate rich light and shadow throughout the day, and serve as private micro-gardens. Set back 10 meters from the park, the building opens its ground floor to generous green space, allowing the park’s greenery to flow naturally into and around the architecture.
Inside, traditional layouts are broken with “undefined spaces” — flexible areas connected to the cantilevered boxes and large windows. Lowered floors and full-height glazing blur the boundary between interior and exterior, making residents feel surrounded by nature rather than just looking at it.
Urban 15° proves that innovation doesn’t always need complexity. Through restraint, precise geometry, and genuine respect for its site, the building offers a more honest, livable, and environmentally conscious way of living in a rapidly developing tech city.
Simple. Modern. Deeply connected to nature.
