It was a creative challenge for us to find a new order in which the structure will be clear, but at the same time diverse. Here, the grid of cells is not driven into a strict rhythm, it is lively and responds to both the internal function of the apartment and the external environment, landscape, general composition.
Objective:
To design and develop a comfortable for life multifunctional area that will meet the modern requirements of sustainable energy and building solutions.
Challenge:
Providing a quality and unique environment for the creative class we are going to lay the foundation for the development of business ideas and start-ups in the field of innovative technologies.
Solutions:
The result of the creative search was lucid but at the same time a diverse structure from geometric correct cells - units. At the same time, units are not built into a boring box, but form a plastic composition. Their configuration and location are not subordinated to any strict order, at first glance the grid of the facade looks chaotic. This image simultaneously symbolizes order and freedom - a certain style of thinking and an unpredictability. Same quality as IT-professionals.
The visual solution showed three main qualities - openness, structure and diversity.
We decided to design mostly low-level buildings - from 6 to 8 floors, leaving several accents - sections in 20-22 floors.
The lower levels will be allocated for commercial use, and the upper levels will occupy residential apartments.
Unit.City will not have standard solutions: each room is a separate cell, unit. The height of the rooms can even vary within one apartment.
Inclusive, barrier-free environment adapted to the needs of people with low personal mobility – corridors have been expanded, ramps been installed, etc.
Parking places are hidden under the ground, each tenth is equipped with a charger for electric cars. There are also bicycle parking systems.
Facts and details:
The innovative park Unit.City is being built on the territory of the former automotive factory in the Shevchenkovsky district. The spirit of the post-industrial site was preserved with the help of brick elements of the buildings.
Unit.City consists of seven quarters and two separate buildings.
In total, Unit.City will have about 2500 apartments, designed approximately for 4.5 thousand inhabitants.
Residential complex will be equipped with BMS (automated building engineering control system) and Smart Home (monitoring system shows tenants heat, water, and electricity consumption through the application in the smartphone). With smart technologies, residents can save up to 25% of utility costs.
Each block will have a courtyard, well-equipped on the roof of the stylobate under which the parking is located.
In addition to the usual infrastructure set, there is also a skate park, a digital library, an art gallery, BBQ areas, an amphitheater and a hotel.
The cluster's territory security system will be introduced with innovative technologies that allow to recognize faces, machine numbers and monitor atypical behavior. The territory will be patrolled By Drone Patrol (unmanned aerial vehicle). There will also be alarm buttons around the perimeter, allowing residents to quickly report incidents or irregularities.
