What began as a modest cottage with a confusing floor plan and compromised cross ventilation became a charming post war 1916 Californian Bungalow lovingly brought back to life. Retaining the striking stained glass windows and four rooms at the heart of the cottage, we added a front entry and portico, a large open plan living area and doubled the stairway height space, allowing the air to flow perfectly throughout the home. Other features include operable roof louvres on the rear terrace and exterior venetians to control the northern light.
