Architectural Manifesto: In Search of Tranquility, Presence, and Flow
This conceptual project is an exploration of the delicate balance between isolation and connection, inspired by the ancient concept of "Kariz" (underground water channels), the philosophy of solitude, and the essence of presence within nature. Set against the vastness of the desert, the design seeks to embody these ideas, creating a space where the natural environment becomes a sanctuary for reflection and introspection.
The structure channels the metaphor of the Kariz, symbolizing the hidden flow of life beneath the surface, guiding movement subtly yet purposefully through the space. The design encourages moments of stillness and introspection, providing a retreat from the chaos of the external world, while simultaneously connecting the individual with the primal, untouched landscape of the desert.
This project reflects the tension between isolation and engagement, flow and stillness, inviting occupants to lose themselves in a space where time, like the desert, feels infinite.
