The remodeling of the house in Ajusco, Mexico City, was an ambitious project that transformed the original structure into a modern complex of medical offices and offices. To optimize space and accessibility, an extension was made to the building that housed a stairwell core in the corner, providing a seamless connection between different levels. Additionally, a spacious and welcoming access lobby was designed, offering visitors a positive first impression.
Waiting areas were strategically distributed to provide comfort and privacy for patients, while the bathroom core was centralized to facilitate access from any point in the complex. A modern elevator was installed in the center of the building, ensuring accessibility for people with reduced mobility and facilitating movement between floors.
The complex's facade was conceived as a distinctive and functional element. A ventilated structure composed of Pridema wood panels mounted on a sturdy steel frame was chosen. This choice not only provides an attractive aesthetic but also contributes to energy efficiency and interior comfort.
The use of high-quality materials not only enhanced the aesthetics of the complex but also ensured durability and resistance to the climatic conditions of the area. Overall, the remodeling successfully transformed the old house in Ajusco into a modern and functional space, tailored to meet the specific needs of medical offices and offices while preserving an elegant and harmonious architectural design.
