This adaptive reuse of an existing historic pump house on Lady Bird Lake in Austin, Texas retains the historic character of the 1955 structure. The renovation incorporates a pv solar glass canopy that will generate the electricity to power the new use and at the same time allow the roof top to be used as a covered music and entertainment venue. The lake front area, in the flood plane, will be converted into a public bath and spa, permitting people to once again safely swim in the lake. Floating wetlands along the perimeter will restore the lake's eco systems. The upper level is converted into a water themed restaurant.
