Nestled on eleven acres among natural wetlands, Cedarbrook Lodge provides the perfect backdrop for the quintessentially Northwest hideaway that is ‘The Spa at Cedarbrook’. Located less than five minutes from SeaTac International Airport, this is ‘the’ destination-resort Spa south of Seattle. The Spa at Cedarbrook transformed an existing boardroom and overflow storage from Cedarbrook’s copious meeting and conference room spaces into a full-service spa retreat. The Spa’s location lends an air of privacy for guests by offering both internal and external entrances.
Conscious of the hotel’s dedication to providing an exceptional guest experience, the 3,800 sf layout includes three massage/facial rooms, one aesthetician room, two couples massage rooms, a two-person soaking tub, a Vichy shower wet treatment room, a manicure/ pedicure room, men’s and women’s locker rooms, a fireside relaxation room, and Pond’s Edge patio and beverage bar. Cedarbrook Lodge’s serene setting and lush grounds are on full display through the relaxation room which was purposefully designed to provide a meditative space. A furnished outdoor patio allows guests to take advantage of seasonal outdoor spa services.
The spa interior makes use of nature-based, raw materials. Slate and bamboo flooring, live-edge maple shelving for retail, real-wood light fixtures, polished boulder vessels in each treatment room and subtle pebble paths that gently lead you through the space echo the scenic wetlands outside of the spa. At its core, the spa rotunda is a handsomely lit gateway that encourages a moment of reflection and marks the transition from daily life to transformational relaxation. In the treatment rooms, guests are surrounded by gentle nods to nature where pattern-matched, 3-dimensional porcelain tiles line the walls and artfully hung cabinets bring a sense of openness to each room.
