With a reference to a cradle, a void in the lava field, the framework is made of layers of lava, taken from the land /the lava field and formed into spaces /voids, walls laid like brick works. From early settlement in Iceland, this method was used as for building up walls around structures in the landscape and walls of the first houses/sheds/primitive huts. This method was used until mid- 19th – early 20th C.
