KBS(Korean Broadcasting System) is the national public broadcaster founded in 1927. KBS Yeouido headquarters began broadcasting in 1976, since then it remarkably expanded to the north with the new building and the concert hall occupying whole huge block. In the block bordered by a tributary of Han River, the central park and the national assembly, the FBC at the north is meaning of a denouement of Yeouido KBS. The FBC changes the main façade of KBS to the north where will be an anchor place of 3 dimensionally connecting axis of green, pedestrian, open space and adjacent key facilities.
The FBC is composed of three layers of K-Ground, K-Loop and K-Cube from lower to upper level. K-Ground is totally a public realm including the open entertainment hall, K-pop store and exhibition, K-Loop of communal programs in which employee and staff share is supporting the newsroom in the middle of whole programs. K-Cube is designed as a flexible open plan centered of the courtyard, so that the newsrooms are simply adjusting to a constantly changing broadcasting environment. Beyond the cross media, the FBC will be a field of a new era that the creative broadcaster leads undetermined future
