At the gateway of Bloor West Village, Quadrangle Architects have designed a contemporary multi-unit apartment building that is inspired by some of Toronto’s most historically significant apartment buildings. Engaged by North Drive Investments to revitalize a site, replacing an existing rental apartment building and detached dwelling, the High Park successfully connects to the surrounding nature and neighborhood, demonstrating the merits of a mid-rise development.
Located across from the 400 acre High Park and within walking distance of Bloor West Village and right at the High Park Subway Station, the High Park is an 11 storey residential building featuring 103 units with 20 unique floor plans ranging in size from studio apartments to 2000 sqf luxury penthouse suites. Its design, led by principal Brian Curtner, accentuates the composition of units through stacked geometries, creating a sense of individuality as the neighborhood intensifies and transforms around it.
