Philosophy:Housing projects are impossible today without thinking of something much more complex than simply the solution to meet a social need. The housing today, represents the idea of understanding a wider habitat, a system of complex social relationships with the environment in search of enjoyment of life, mixing different ambits, different uses.A proposed of sustainable mixed uses buildings in Noida, India, was an initiative of Nabito Architects and Partners for the development of a district of the 70s industrial planned city, taking into account this kind of innovative approach. The masterplan included six main multifunctional towers as nodes of social activities around private dwellings; the terraces are extension and filter in between to use for other functions. Each building is related to the other by squares, paths and greens sport or social areas mixing different programs in such a way that the user is pushed to move from one to another like in a little city.Scope: In a huge poor country where development is a priority but also a big risk of speculation, we think that the best way to generate a sustainable masterplan is to put on the table clear actions, processes and programs to accord with all the agents: political, economical and social and not only taking the eco-friendly manual.
