For our proposal, we ignored the desire to make a multifunctional object or explore a new way of sitting. We instead focused on creating a simple, beautiful chair. The proportions, material choice, and contours of our design create a comfortable seating position with the added benefit of the side wing supporting the common "side recline" many of us so often do. Located only on one side, the two mirrored version of the chair can be paired together to create an intimate loveseat, and it is our hope that the search for your seat's match would lead to spontaneous conversations with new acquaintances. One of the most recyclable plastics, HDPE, is the sole materials for the chair. It is injection molded as one piece, reducing fabrications costs and eliminating connections easily broken under the stresses of heavy use.
