Vertical fins form the outer skin of the building, shielding glass surfaces from excessive heat and reducing energy consumption. The staggered parametric pattern of the fins also creates an interplay of light and shadow throughout the day, enhancing visual depth and interest. Landscaped terraces, created through strategic voids in the structure, provide green pockets for relaxation while serving as refuge areas and breakout spaces.
The building spacing and orientation harness prevailing breezes, with the louvres on the facade guiding their direction, creating a tunnel effect for natural ventilation. This regulates the microclimate within the building and enhances comfort in public spaces. The breezes in the secondary direction are aligned with commercial and temporary public areas, while wind corridors improve ventilation across the site. Dense plantation cover and south-facing shading elements mitigate heat gain, ensuring a cooler environment.
Incorporating Efficiency and Climate Responsiveness
Technopark integrates advanced sustainability measures, aiming for a net-zero footprint through efficient resource management and innovative design strategies. The project treats 100 per cent of its wastewater on-site, reusing the treated water for landscaping and utility purposes. Low-flow fixtures, dual-flush toilets, and waterless urinals further reduce overall consumption. Solar water heaters provide a sustainable hot water supply, eliminating the need for additional energy. Grass pavers in parking and pedestrian areas mitigate surface runoff, seamlessly integrating with the landscape.
Waste management is carefully structured, segregating waste at the source and designated collection points on each floor. A central waste collection area facilitates efficient processing, diverting segregated waste to dedicated recycling facilities. Organic waste is processed through an on-site organic waste converter, generating manure for landscaping. Waste movement across the site is strategically planned to prevent disruption to occupants.
