homas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility is a U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science national laboratory. Scientists worldwide utilize the lab’s unique particle accelerator to probe the most basic building blocks of to better understand our world. A goal for this project was to transform the existing complex from an environmentally-degraded service yard into a vibrant, sustainable campus through the introduction of the Technology and Engineering Development Facility (TEDF). EwingCole designed the LEED Gold, 188,000 sf TEDF building to create a unified, team-oriented working environment by optimizing and standardizing the process flow of people, information, products, supplies and waste through the facility.
