A technology campus near Düsseldorf with office and storage space for the user himself planned integratively - flexible, certified, sustainable and very green.
The Technik Campus Hilden comprises a newly constructed office block and an adjoining warehouse in the northern part of Hilden. Car parks and cycle parking spaces have also been provided on the campus grounds, and numerous trees have been planted.
The four-storey, accessible office building meets high standards of sustainability and energy efficiency, and is aiming for DGNB Gold certification as well as the QNG seal of approval.
The guiding principle behind the design of this almost square, four-storey office building is a sustainable concept which, thanks to its flexible floor plan, caters to the needs of today’s working world. The floor plan allows for flexible layout options, accommodating open-plan areas, team offices as well as single and double offices. In addition to office space, there are communal areas, bicycle changing rooms with showers, and plant rooms. The main entrance to the office building, situated to the north, leads from a small forecourt into a foyer, from which all floors are accessible. The two lower floors are also connected by an internal staircase and feature a further entrance to the south. This is where the client, who runs a refrigeration and air-conditioning company, will be moving in himself.
The three other upper floors have an identical floor plan and can be let as a single unit or separately. Depending on the size of the rental unit, repetitive rooms such as IT/copying or storage space can be flexibly converted.
