"Tawazun Safety Security and Disaster Management City, is a multi-agency training facility focused on building, sustaining and enhancing the United Arab Emirates and Abu Dhabi’s capacity and capability to protect its Communities, Assets, and Vital infrastructure from all threats. The Facility aims to evolve into the most sought after training facility both in the Region and Internationally for Multi-Agency, Intra-Agency, and Disaster Management Training in the fields of Safety, Security, Emergency Preparedness and Crisis and Disaster management. TSSDMC allows for training at every operational level, from basic skills to re-enacting or re-creating large scale training scenarios in a multitude of environments. It is a training platform that is able to adapt to current and future environments and crisis scenarios.
As a design consultant, Tactical Design North led an extensive planning phase to gather all the various agency user needs, programming, and master planning for the entire 250 acre facility. TDN completed full design for all training buildings and 5 principle buildings around 110,000sf each and 20 other village buildings ranging from 600 to 43,000sf each. TDN went from Masterplanning to Construction Documents in 12 Month for the design of over 600,000sf of program.
