T-House Bungalow
This project is for a compact, one-story house situated in a rural, dispersed setting. Despite the investor's expansive plot, the building regulations restricted the width of the front elevation of the new building to 15 meters. This significantly limited the potential use of space if constructing a single structure. Consequently, the primary design challenge was to find the right proportions for a one-story building with a classic gabled roof. This was achieved through the simple arrangement of two volumes in the footprint of an inverted T (towards the driveway).
The entrance section faces the driveway with the ridge, housing the garage and the living area. Meanwhile, the residential area and its facilities extend into the plot, perpendicular to the entrance section. This configuration naturally creates zoning within the plot, separating the exposed driveway area from the private zone on the southeast side.
The project employs a modest yet expressive combination of finishing materials, including titanium-zinc sheet metal, plaster with mica additives, facade cladding elements made of oiled larch, and anodized aluminum for the window and door frames.
