This high-profile project - a permanent, outdoor exhibit at the New Orleans Museum of Art - is the winner of an IALD Award of Excellence.  As day turns to night, the emphasis in this sculpture garden changes. The park recedes into the darkness and the paths and sculptures are brought forward through the lighting.  Art pieces are lit in a variety of ways, but always with the goal of hiding the fixtures from view.  Key to our lighting scheme is modeling the garden by creating vistas, emphasizing critical axes and guiding visitors through the collection.  By transforming strong architectural elements into light fixtures and highlighting the thoughtfully placed sculpture with hidden lighting, we created what the delighted benefactor calls – “an absolutely magical place”.
