Renovation of Tsukiji Sushiiwa Sohonten, which opened in 1920.
As you pass through the small noren curtain facing the lively Tsukiji area of Tokyo's Harumi-dori Street, you can feel the relaxed atmosphere of a long-established restaurant with familiar customers and chefs. In this renovation project, we reconfigured the facade with latticework and plaster in the limited space, creating a barrier that hides the atmosphere.
Of course, the neat lattice made of recycled wood is the face of the store, but it also serves as a lattice door to hide various functions such as electrical substation equipment, gas meters, faucets, and storage for cleaning supplies.
