This brick house by the lake is a weekend escape for busy entrepreneurs from Warsaw, Natalia and Wojtek. 

The property is located in the middle of a lovely forest by a beautiful lake with a small private pier and a beach. The interior of the house was designed by Katarzyna Poniatowska from LakeHouse Studio. Rustic style is mixed here with modern furniture and neutral colors. Brick dominates not only the exterior but also the interior of the house and serves as a key element of the design.

Passing through a small hall, we enter a spacious living room with a high ceiling finished with oak beams. Triangular aluminum windows offer a view of the dreamy meadow in front of the house. In the living room, there is a large sofa, and next to it, a table where the hosts welcome their friends and family. On colder days, the family can snuggle by the cast-iron fireplace situated between massive windows.

The wooden kitchen, open to the living room, is not the largest, but it is very comfortable and functional. The living area connects to a long hall leading to two bathrooms and four bedrooms, each with a different atmosphere and color palette. One bedroom, a favorite of the owners’ son, features dark olive tones. Another, in delicate shades with oak stairs leading to the attic, belongs to their daughter. The master bedroom, with a wooden ceiling and cream wainscoting, is full of light and features a comfy upholstered linen bed.

At the very end of the corridor is a guest bedroom, which is not the only space intended for guests. Next to the main house, there is another building dedicated especially to hosting visitors. Both bathrooms have a similar style and atmosphere. The limestone floors beautifully contrast with the delicate wall colors and oak built-ins. Brass lamps and gray quartzite countertops add additional contrast to the calm base.

The family truly enjoys spending time here as a retreat from the busy city, hosting parties for friends and family, and spending the majority of their time by the lake.
