Design Partnership was commissioned to enhance the employee canteen at Standard Bank Head Office in Rosebank, a prominent financial institution serving Africa and beyond. The objective was to establish a standout destination amidst the surrounding hospitality brands, revitalizing the canteen and transforming the lobby into a dynamic space that fosters meaningful interactions both internally and externally.

Guided by the understanding that the workplace is evolving into a new form of retail, the design approach goes beyond traditional office spaces. It prioritizes exceptional work experiences within a well-crafted setting. The upgraded Standard Bank Canteen in Rosebank embodies this vision.

With meticulous attention to detail, the space and services were designed to adapt to users' changing needs throughout the day, effortlessly transitioning from morning coffee to lunch and after-work drinks with various seating options. The design concept fosters a fluid and integrated experience, avoiding rigid segmentation. The ultimate goal is to provide an outstanding work environment that boosts productivity and fosters engagement.

Embracing the idea that the workplace is the new retail, Design Partnership has fashioned a canteen that delivers a truly exceptional and enjoyable experience for Standard Bank employees.
