Spreckels Crossing

This master plan for a new town in the Salinas Valley was a finalist entry for an invited competition. Designed to to meet the growing housing and community needs of agricultural workers and familys, this development included the adaptive re-use of historic buildings, a new town center, mixed use housing, recreation areas, and the rehabilitation of adjacent wetlands. Greater density, sustainable building strategies, and planning that encourages diversity were key elements in our design.
