The new South Niagara Hospital (SNH) will be a part of Niagara Health’s connected healthcare system. It will centralize services from existing facilities, facilitate residents’ easier access to the care the care they need at one location, provide an overall better experience, and enable communities to be healthier. SNH will be consistent with the Ministry of Health’s high standards for patient and family-centred care, incorporating principles of senior-friendly design, accessibility, and infection prevention and control. It will meet the Canada Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver standards. In addition, the project will be working towards being the first WELL®-certified healthcare facility in Canada focused on the health and well-being of staff, physicians, volunteers, patients, families, caregivers, and the Niagara community.
Parkin is looking forward to another successful project with EDIH.
