The reform of Solórzano Bar, located in Santander, should maintain its essence and its character of tradition that has made the Bar a point of reference in the area.
Therefore, the remodelling would improve circulations and the hierarchy of the space. For this proporsal, a central core composed by a counter and a high shelf divide the local in two: a first area with high tables and banks that is related with the already existing bar counter of the local; and a second area, more privated at the back, which is also divided in two floors with low tables, more like dining rooms.
This counter+shelf design is simple, with clean volumes, and respects the materials of wood and marble that characterize the local.
Taking about the new furniture chosen, the added value given by the red color in chairs and banks is highlighted, as well as the tables, that revive the tradition with their tops of marble.
Both terrazzo floors and large marble counter and pictures that fill the walls, are distinctive features of the longer original Bar Solórzano.
