Snark productions is an audiovisual management company.It is situated in Namur, and produces television programs, commercials and films. In october 2009, Calimucho was contacted by Snark to imagine the construction of offices for their company.The aim for Snark, at first, was to plan a whole story that would be occupied by another company but that they could use for themselves in the futur if Snark expanded their activities. Quickly the idea grew in our minds to create 2 seperate volumes above each other, but the top one would be shifted, pushed forwards.This conception of the building, not only protects the entrance, creates a terrace on the top floor but also shows a dynamic image of the company. The very large window of the top floor is like an open window on the world.It's like a virtual window. The structure of the building is in concrete, this concrete will be seen inside the building.The building is encased with TRESPA panels, copper colour. So we can fix high performance insulation between the structure and the panels. So we can reach a high degre of insulation and the building is designed for a very, very low energy consumption.
