'Vi møtes på kanten' is the title on this project to become the new central Town Hall Square in the city of Ski. The title means 'We will meet on the edge' and refers to the main plaza as the new gathering space of Ski city as well as the 'edgy' elements defining the square. They relate to the very formal urban grid and shapes the center of Ski. The square will be transformed to a meeting point for everybody - young and old, students and families, through summer, winter, night and day. This means that the square has both quiet corners for relaxation and active corners for sports - as well as a large green playground. A tiny forest defines one end of the square, while the other end is urban with cafés, sun steps and stages. The lower part of the square is centered around an open plaza, with multiple possibilities - markets in weekends, ice rink in winter, reservoir for rainwater by cloudbursts , art exhibitions, concerts and so on. Wooden boxes surrounds and defines the space with plateaus, that has multiple functions - informal seating areas, planters, elements for playful activities as well as a small pavilion with a café, public restrooms and a roof terrace.
