Where Old Streets Meet New Faces
A haven for young revelers
Sihe is located on Xiangyang North Road in Shanghai, within the bustling Jing'an district. This street connects Nanjing West Road and Changle Road, renowned as one of Shanghai's famous shopping and entertainment areas. Known for its distinctive fashion ambiance, boutiques, cafes, restaurants, and bars, it epitomizes Shanghai's fashion and lifestyle scene, attracting a multitude of tourists and trendsetters.
01 VOCABULARY
This is the second brand space jointly created by "Sihe" and HOOOLD. The concept blends commercial vitality with Eastern aesthetics, aiming to craft an experiential dining and drinking space that emphasizes exploration and experimentation. Through innovative design concepts and practices, our goal is to provide customers with a multidimensional dining environment that stimulates senses, inspires thoughts, and fosters communication.
"Sihe" takes its name from the concept of the sun reaching its extremes in all four directions. Described in the ancient Chinese book《Zhou Bi Suan Jing》, it signifies the points where the sun reaches its northern, southern, eastern, and western limits. It symbolizes a place where heaven and earth converge, where seasons meet, where wind and rain gather, and where yin and yang harmonize. In our hearts, Sihe represents a collection of Eastern wisdom and an idealized drinking lifestyle characterized by tranquility and joy. In essence, Sihe embodies our finest interpretation of Eastern aesthetics.

The brand adopts an innovative business model, breaking away from traditional experiential models to create a unique consumer experience with the concept of 'store within a store.' The outdoor area is designed as a 'Bistro,' offering a relaxed dining atmosphere, while the interior serves as a cocktail lab with experimental qualities.
Sihe collaborates with leading domestic and international brands such as COA Beijing and ELEVATION Langfang, aiming to innovate and develop experimental drinks, providing customers with a unique custom cocktail experience.

BISTRO
"Bistro," a modern dining space that integrates the essence of Eastern aesthetics, offers customers a dining experience that is both relaxed and refined. Here, Eastern aesthetics are not merely traditional replicas but are reinterpreted and redefined through the lens of contemporary perspectives on Eastern culture.
The design of the entire space revolves around the theme of bamboo. Using various forms of expression and deconstructive techniques, bamboo's vitality and artistic qualities permeate the space, creating an atmosphere akin to a scroll of bamboo ink painting. Bamboo's resilience and elegance symbolize not only the spiritual core of Eastern culture but also resonate with our strict standards in ingredient selection and culinary craftsmanship.
Our design team strives to blend Eastern artistic conception with modern dining concepts through restrained and understated techniques, showcasing a confident yet elegant Eastern charm.
The spatial layout is cleverly designed to ensure privacy while also maintaining openness, allowing customers to enjoy gourmet cuisine while experiencing the joy of gathering with family and friends.

LAB
In this project, we break away from the typical constraints of a bar counter, inviting every patron into the R&D center of a top-tier mixologist team. You can order a tasting of Mezcal, engage in shared discussions, or even sample a new cocktail developed on the same day. You might also find yourself standing by the bar, contributing your ideas for new concoctions.
The three key words of our project: natural, relaxed, spontaneous.
More about Agave
Local farms in Oaxaca, Mexico boast the world's largest fields of agave plants, essential for producing Mezcal and Tequila. To harvest these towering plants, farmers use a unique tool called a "COA," a 1.2-meter-long implement with a sharp edge. The COA not only digs out roots from the soil but also slices through thick agave leaves. Even today, all agave plants are harvested by hand with the COA, as no machine can replace this method.
Craftsmen then invest considerable manpower and adhere to strict craftsmanship standards to brew high-quality spirits. Amid a modern society dominated by mechanical automation and technology, this Mexican tradition of artisanal brewing, rooted in fields and manual distilleries, imparts exceptional quality and the spirit of Mexican spirits.
The interior is a futuristic-style experimental cocktail lab, where deep within the cosmos, an unknown lifeform descends slowly from the heavens. Its form is strange, its lines fluid, as if it were a masterpiece of extraterrestrial civilization, traversing countless galaxies to arrive in our world.
It represents not just an unknown life but also a symbol, an emblem. It signifies the future, the unknown, and limitless possibilities. It contrasts sharply with the familiar realities of our world, sparking infinite imaginations about the future.
The space design mirrors mixology as an art form, with each drink tailored as a masterpiece for the customer. We aim not only for visual pleasure but also to evoke emotional resonance, allowing customers to find a sense of belonging in the space. Let it become a world with life, emotions, and stories.
