Minghua Wheel stands in the sea world in Nanshan District, Shenzhen, sailed from France more than 40 years ago, from the "ANCERVILLE" connecting romantic travel between Europe and Africa, to the "Minghua Wheel" to spread Chinese civilization, and then to the "Sea World" to witness the history of reform and opening up.
Nowadays, the positioning and demand of "Sea World Minghua Wheel" is no longer just a ship witnessing history and an ininteractive landmark, but also a new landmark in the core area of Harbour City that integrates the frontier of the future and the cultural heritage. The design of this renovation is based on the concept of "truthful restoration", retaining and respecting the style of Minghua as much as possible, and giving it contemporary expression while reviving the historical charm. The design team dug deep into historical drawings and photos, combined with shipbuilding vocabulary and French architectural technology, to preserve the original material texture and spatial structure as much as possible to ensure the natural and smooth integration of the old and the new.
The immersive commercial flow strategy gives the cruise retail experience a multi-sensory journey, with visitors slowly ascending through three carefully planned vertical paths, including the original captain's cabin, cockpit, observation deck, panoramic deck, and a central atrium covered in a kaleidoscopic glass dome. The immersive theatrical experience breaks the limitations of fixed seating in traditional theaters, which is a reconstruction of the performing arts. The audience is no longer just a spectator, but a part of the story, following the actors to experience the climactic plot changes, flowing between the virtual and the real without a trace.
I wish Shenzhen Maritime World Minghua Ship flowers all the way in the future!
