One of the renowned hotels of the Art Deco District, originally designed by Igor Polevitzky, with a later addition by Morris Lapidus, two of the most celebrated Art Deco architects of the mid-twentieth century. The design approach is to create a modern/tropical open space, incorporating updated contemporary site furniture with a simple beach-flavored planting palette of Coconut Palm, Cocoplum and Seagrape. A pool concourse linking the hotel lobby and pool deck will provide a cool tropical oasis for casual lounging, with various orchids and other tropical plants hanging from an overhead wood trellis.
