A new residence in San Francisco offering stunning views out to the Presidio, SF Modern sits on a narrow one acre lot. The home was designed to bring light inside through the use of light wells (an operable skylight over the central stair), a neutral material palette, and strategically opening up the back to allow space for the residence to breathe. Designed on spec to appeal to a range of different client types, the 6,205 sf house with 1,155 sf of terraces has five bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms with an open plan for modern living. Through the use of similar materials and simple geometries, the house thoughtfully relates to the adjacent property once transformed by architect Joseph Esherick.
