Casa Serena is a contemporary retreat designed above all to inhabit tranquility. Set on a sloped terrain, its architecture adapts gently to the landscape, creating a domestic experience that flows seamlessly between interior and exterior spaces.
The project is defined by a clear gesture: a crisp white volume appears to float above a handcrafted brick base. This base, warm and tactile, unfolds in solid planes and ventilated screens that filter light, enhance privacy, and promote natural ventilation—while maintaining a constant dialogue with the surrounding landscape.
The house protects itself from the street to ensure privacy, while opening generously toward the scenery to embrace light, views, and calm. A series of patios and carefully placed openings bring nature and atmosphere inside, crafting spaces where everyday life feels effortlessly serene.
The chosen materials—white plaster walls, fired brick, wood, and native vegetation—form an honest and timeless palette. Each texture and every shifting shadow contribute to a spatial experience that is calm, coherent, and full of life.
Casa Serena does not seek to impose. It inserts itself respectfully, is moved through gently, and is lived in with joy. It is an architecture conceived from the inside out, where design is not an end in itself, but a means to improve the lives of those who inhabit it.
