Set along the Stinson Beach lagoon, Seadrift Meadow was designed for a large, active family seeking spaces for gathering and play. A native coastal planting palette creates a strong connection to the site while remaining durable and low maintenance.
The front yard partially functions as a leach field and required shallow-rooted planting. A yarrow meadow surrounds a new firepit lounge and the front drive was upgraded from gravel to concrete pavers.
Bougainvillea frames the home’s transparent entryway while preserving direct sightlines through to the backyard and lagoon beyond.
In the backyard, split-level gathering spaces are unified through a play on angles and materials. Corten steel planters, a wooden boardwalk-inspired bench and beach sand tie the site to its coastal setting.
