The renovation project of the restaurant arose from the need for strategic repositioning that required a complete break with the existing environment and opening to the general public, in addition to the hotel guests.
Identifying that few pedestrians knew the existence of the restaurant, an intervention strategy was elaborated that contemplated the similar structuring of the spaces to strengthen the visual identity of the restaurant and establish continuity between the external and the internal space.
By inserting colored laminated wood modules, the perception of the space vary according to the position and the time they are observed.
The external structure, which signals the restaurant, offers guests and clients the possibility of outdoor space, and it works as a support for plants that contributes to protection of the solar incidence in the morning and a more pleasant ambiance.
The new layout also included the creation of a wine cellar to attend the wine list developed and expanded the number of seats. Some of the existing furniture has been renovated and combined with the suggested furniture.
The design of a curved bench with smaller, groupable tables replaces the old buffets to serve a larger number of customers besides occupying the whole room in a more dynamic way aiming to value the existing architecture.
