This project is located in Sam Center, a luxury boutique mall in north of Tehran. Considering the store’s surroundings, which were top brands and luxurious shops, our client requested an iconic & eye-catching design.
We wanted to bring fashion’s glamour into a unified space to make a dialogue between architecture and fashion products. So, we based our design on “geometry” as a common point. Emerging fashion design features geometry to bring new look. Garment wrinkles, transform into facets creating moving sculptures. We conceived the architecture as a unique sculpture compartmentalized by huge facets through which people could imagine a solid sense of architecture and fashion.
Combination of Brushed-Brass-coat stainless steel sheets and white polyester painted MDF were used to enhance the visual value of the space and create an identical image of mind. This selection of materials helped more to maximize the contrast of the folded surfaces since each face has its own orientation.
Contrary to those who didn’t benefit from the vertical dimension superiority, we used the maximum useful height of 580cm and extended the viewers field of view even through the mall’s atrium, one storey below, and reached nearly, proportion of a cube creating a dominant architecture envelope.
It was a must to show nearly 800 eyeglasses, so the perimeter line of plan was used to form the showcases. To avoid repetition of sales items and organize them visually, A pattern of 3d small faceted units divided products in shelves and also connected the formal envelope to display stands with the help of carefully integrated mirrors and posters. By linking the touch of gold to the counter, a luxury showcase was created to show the more expensive and specific goods.
