Within Rouge Nail Bar's second Bucharest location it was desired to revamp the former aesthetic (created by architect Corvin Cristian) by adapting and preserving a part of its already existing elements while also adding new features.
The location's concept was taken from its name; NAIL & BAR thus creating a space in which nails wouldn't be the sole service provided. In this way, a cosy and hip environment was created which can be utilized by patrons with whichever primary use they desire.
The space has a distinct industrial yet welcoming and vibrant feel to it. This successful contrast was achieved mainly through its materiality. The use of cold, rough materials such as concrete, metal and visible piping is juxtaposed by warm coloured wood used for the display areas as well as seating's framing and it's soft, luscious fabric. Contributing to this industrial aesthetic are two bold primary colours used throughout the space- Blue and Red.
Layout wise, the space's rhythm is given by the nail workstation which is a bar height community table. Secondary uses are laid out on the sides and hinted at through different height seating and wooden dividers for each separate zone.
Overall, through the use of materials, finishes and bold colors as well as materials, Rouge Nail Bar offers clients an unique experience in an up to date, dynamic environment.
