The restructuring/extension of the Hasenrain site was done with the will to affirm the hospital as a place to live. It is a question of breaking the coercive image of the existing building, its "barracks" effect, through interventions where the emphasis is first and foremost on reception and accommodation. The project proposes to rework the gabled façade of building 3 in order to clearly mark the main entrance. This element will be enhanced and put in relation to the outside spaces treated as gardens. A dialogue will be established between contemporary architecture on a human scale and ancient architecture.
