This project includes the conceptual master plan and building design for a future mixed-use waterfront development along the scenic Juma River in central China. It includes a destination resort hotel, apartment hotel, commercial shops, grocery store, restaurants and cafes.
Water is the unifying element that connects the numerous buildings and open spaces in this development. These inlets, ponds and fountains further animate a vibrant public realm with amenities such as riverfront boardwalks, boat piers and lush landscaping.
The building facades are varied and highly articulated using materials such as local stone, brick, wood and glass, accentuated with deep overhangs and generous landscaped roof gardens.
